Chapter 01: This Place Is Bigger Than We Thought

After a solid 13 hours of sleep and waking up to a more-or-less freaking heat that would sort of be expected, breakfast at the restaurant we ate dinner at the evening before didn't sound like a bad idea.
Once again, I'm sort of surprised at how cheap it is here when it comes to... well, everything. Way more cheap than I remembered, anyway. But that's a good thing. Today's lunch for both of us, including drink, came to a total of 1,017 yen (do your own currency conversion) which isn't bad at all. Heck, we even got free re-fill.

Today has been a further exploration trip around the area of Hibarigaoka, plus our first grocery shopping. Milk, cereal, bread, ham, cheese, butter, etc. The basic things, and what did it cost? Somewhere around 1300 yen. Damn.

It was already around 4 PM by the time we got back to the house, unloading the groceries and going back to the room to relax a little bit in the immense heat before going outside again. Ended up spending a good two-three hours here due to having to get this blog started and having some issues with writing about what the day before had been like (including getting distracted every few minutes), which I assume you've read by now. Also met the manager for the first time then, so the our stay has now been paid for. Huzzah!

Anyway, we went back outside at around 7, and since we had to take out some more money since Hallvard was pretty much broke while I had a bit more. So we wandered towards the station where the ATM room was closed for the day... so we kept wandering in hopes of finding somewhere we could take out money. We reached and walked past the stairway leading up to the station, and what we saw then probably made this place even better; a big area with multiple malls, lots of alleys with more shops, and some more of those Pachinko & Slotmachines buildings. Quite a few everywhere you go. One of the malls were closed by the time we had gotten there (I think we reached it at 8:07, it closing at 8), but the other one was still up. Took out some money at the 7-Eleven which was nearby, plus buying some dinner, and entered the mall, staying there pretty much until closing time. Back at the house, we ate our food, made fun of things and stayed awesome. And then Hall went to bed, and then I went to bed. Now.

Tomorrow we're checking the other mall. I should start taking pictures.
